About Zembrani
Zembrani is an online shop for women's semi-fine jewellery. We are based in the United States, we ship worldwide, and our prices are in pounds sterling because most of the people who buy from us are in the United Kingdom.
That is the whole of what we are. What follows is how we work, and where we come from.
Where the name comes from
Zembrani is a family surname. It is a tribute to our grandmother — an Italian woman who believed that getting dressed properly was never optional, no matter where you were going. She wore jewellery everywhere. Not because of the occasion, but because she felt it was part of being a woman. She taught us that the right piece does not just accessorise an outfit — it finishes it.
She also cared about quality. Not expensive for the sake of it. Quality because a piece that tarnishes after a week is not jewellery — it is a disappointment. That belief is the reason this shop exists.
What we do, and what we do not
We choose pieces. We work with trusted manufacturers, select what meets our standards, and stand behind everything we sell. We are a shop, not a workshop.
We do not pretend to be something we are not. There is no invented heritage beyond the real one. What we can claim, we claim. What we cannot, we leave out.
We do not publish reviews we did not receive. No imported testimonials, nothing written by anyone who did not buy the piece.
We do not claim materials we cannot support. If a piece is 18k gold-plated, that is what the page says. If it is 925 sterling silver, we say that too. Steel is called steel. Plating is called plating.
How we select a piece
Everything we sell has to earn its place. We ask the same question about every piece: would she have worn this? If the answer is no — because the finish is wrong, the weight feels cheap, or the design is forgettable — it does not make it to the site.
We sit between fast fashion jewellery and fine jewellery. Fairly priced for what it is, made to last, and designed to make you feel feminine. That was the standard she kept. It is ours too.
The box
Every Zembrani order arrives in a personalised gift box. It is part of the experience, not an afterthought. Whether it is for you or for someone else, it arrives ready.
What to expect from an order
Standard shipping is free worldwide, with no minimum spend. The cost is already inside the price on the page, so the amount at checkout is the amount you pay.
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. You receive a tracking link as soon as the carrier scans your parcel.
If something is wrong
You have 30 days to return any piece, faulty or not, and get your money back. UK consumers also keep the statutory 14-day right to cancel. We say so plainly rather than burying it.
If a piece arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, that is our problem and not yours. We replace it or refund it in full, and you do not pay return postage.
